mdSync

Known issues in the current release:
*Hitting the Clean Sync button twice in a row will cause mdSync to crash. This will be addressed in the next version. But you really shouldn't have to click it once, let alone twice. ;)
*If your iTunes tracks are missing metadata, like genre, the rating update won't work. I'm looking for a workaround for that. The iTunes lib doesn't want to give me access to tracks' "Persistent ID" in the database, which is why genre is part of a hack I put together.
*There is a report of an error when the iTunes music is accessed across a network. mdSync has only be tested using a local iTunes database and music collection. This error will be researched.

If you manually modified the config file, or your iTunes library location became corrupted, and error would occur during sync. This has been fixed.

Enhancements:
*Added rounded corners and transparency to the UI.
*Added the Command Panel, which has Right-Click menu options.
*Changed functionality so that you grab and drag the Command Panel to move the UI around the screen. Previously you could grab anywhere on the screen.
*Added resize functionality to the bottom right of the screen. Previously there was a bar across the bottom to grab.
*Added ability to stop a sync. Also enhanced code so that you can gracefully shut down mdSync via the "X" during a sync. Previously the process could continue to run in the background.
*Added functionality so that playlists will always remain on the device, even if you cancel a sync. Previously they may have been deleted if you shut down in the middle of a sync.
*Added "Clean Sync" option, which deletes all synced media from the target device and does a full resync. This should never be necessary. I include it only "in case." *Please let me know if you find a bug that requires using this.
*Added "Re-located iTunes" menu option which forces mdSync to try to find your iTunes library again. This should never be necessary. I include it only "in case." Please let me know if you find a bug that requires using this.
Bug Fixes:
*Prevent doubling-up of tracks after their metadata was modified in iTunes. This has been fixed.
NOTE: This version uses a slightly different sync technique, so your first sync will be a full resync. Be prepared to wait that out.
